My family hiked it a couple of weeks ago. The leaves were just starting to turn. Well worth the climb. Absoluately gorgeous at the top (but a bit scary)

The grist mill usually runs spring through fall; however, I am not sure if there is a set schedule for when the sorghum is made. The number to the Cades Cove visitor center is (865) 436-1200. They should be able to tell you anything you need to know for your trip. You should try to come this fall, the leaves changing are beautiful!

My dad cousin and i hiked this trail this summer it was amazing. we spent about 2 hours at the top of the rock face it was amazingly beautiful if i could live right on top of it i would i LOVE it it was definatly a strenous hike though and takes time to do i sugest waking up at about 5 and going we saw 2 bears that morning they stayed away from us though. also i would bring a jacket u r at such a high elevation that it is a good 15-20 degrees cooler up there than it will be in gatlinburg. well worth being sore the next day byfar my favorite place in the whole world

I agree with this area being relaxing. I live not far from there. We have been to Townsend many times. I would recommend staying there to anyone. I moved to Tn 10 years ago and would never move back.

This was an awesome event to see for free. I had always wanted to see a civil war reenactment and this was in my are so I ventured out. Several hundred folk came out to see this battle that took a little over an hour to perform. Look for it next year, a treat for all ages

Looks so refreshing. I wish I had some similar locations spelled out for me in my local area. We mostly have the beaches here but I really like treking out to remote locations for a dip in a fresh water pool.
