Tomorrow marks the beginning of the 19th Annual Wilderness Wildlife Week at the Music Road Hotel and Convention Center in Pigeon Forge. The week kicks off with a series of outdoor activities designed to connect the visitors with the Great Smoky Mountains. From January 10-17, nearly 100 experts will be hosting guided walks, hikes, seminars, and lectures on a wide variety of topics. Hikes range from easy to multi-mile treks. Hikers are encouraged to bring gloves, rain gear, head cover, lunch or snacks, and an extra pair of socks. Wilderness Wildlife Week is great “free fun” for the family with many programs designed for children. For more information call the Pigeon Forge Office of Special Events at (865) 429-7350.
